Root window cursor appearance
When the Desktop is not covering the entire screen, you
see the Root window.
If you want to change the pointer cursor
appearance in the Root window,
use the
xsetroot(XC)
command.
xsetroot takes two cursor appearance options:
-cursor cursorfile maskfile-
lets you change the pointer cursor (when it is outside the
Desktop) to whatever you want.
Cursor files and mask files are bitmaps, and can be made with a
bitmap program, such as
scopaint(XC).
-cursor_name cursorname-
lets you change the pointer cursor to one of the standard
cursors from the cursor font
